The Internet has changed the way we buy and sell products and services and the way we obtain information. It is critical for companies to embrace an online strategy in order to compete in the new e-economy. The Our Web Design Team here on Maui are here to help you achieve this Internet presence, practically, professionally and affordably!

A website should be in the business plan of all successful business owners. It is an inexpensive and efficient way to advertise, promote and especially to sell products and services.

Unlike opening a new location for your business, buying inventory, hiring employees and all the other ongoing expenses that go with opening a new location, having a web site can bring customers that would never find you otherwise.

What Is WordPress?

WordPress is an online, open source website creation tool written in PHP. But in non-geek speak, it’s probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) in existence today.
Using WordPress and the proper theme, we can easily make you a website that is fully responsive user-friendly and attractive at a very low cost. One of the other benefits of using WordPress is anyone with a little bit of training and learn how to edit their pages with just the click of a button. WordPress is designed for the average user to be able to go in and edit text, pictures, graphics and other media very simply.
Well, at least a lot more easily than writing HTML, CSS and JavaScript code. Which, needless to say, most people can’t-do?
Around 15,886,000 websites on the entire web use WordPress:
  • 8% of the top 100 blogs according to Technorati are managed with WordPress.
  • 2,645 of the top 10k websites on the web use WordPress.
  • 22,111 of the top 100k websites use WordPress.
  • 297,629 of the top 1M websites use WordPress.

Are you being responsive to your clients?

In this case responsive means how your website responds when being accessed by different types of computer devices. When websites were originally developed they were designed only to be displayed on a computer screen. Nowadays millions of potential customers are searching for products and services using their mobile devices, i.e. cell phones, tablets, and pads.

According to official Google statements, more than 50 percent of search queries globally now come from mobile devices. But we don’t know whether the number is 51 percent or 60 percent, or if it varies significantly by country

It’s Official: Google Says More Searches Now On Mobile Than On Desktop.

If your website cannot configure to display in a format that responds to the type the device being used when you are at a distinct disadvantage. Also, most search engines i.e. Google, Yahoo, etc. conform their searches to websites that can display correctly on the device being used. This will probably be the default criteria soon for all search engines and if your website is not responsive. You will not be displayed in the search results.
